At BizBoard Pro, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how Novedah Inc. collects, uses, and safeguards your data when you use BizBoard Pro at app.bizboardpro.com.

1. Information we collect

Account details (name and email address)
Venture data (business names, descriptions, progress, hours, notes, and next steps)
Device and usage data (how you interact with the app)
Payment information, processed securely by Stripe — we do not store credit card details

2. How we use your data

To provide and operate the BizBoard Pro Service
To send transactional emails such as password reset links
To improve app features and performance
To communicate with you about updates and offers (you may opt out at any time)
To power the AI Venture Advisor feature using your venture data

3. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with the following third-party vendors for functionality and service delivery, with strict confidentiality:

Neon — database hosting
Netlify — application hosting
Resend — transactional email delivery
Stripe — payment processing
Anthropic — AI Venture Advisor feature

4. Data security

We use encryption and secure servers to protect your information. Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon, located in the United States, using industry-standard security practices.

5. Your rights (PIPEDA & Quebec Law 25)

You may request access to or deletion of your personal data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings inside the app
You can export all your venture data at any time using the Export feature in the app
You can update your account information at any time within the app
You may withdraw consent for optional communications at any time

5a. Your rights under GDPR (EU/EEA residents)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data (the "right to be forgotten"). You can also delete your account directly from the app settings at any time.
Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format. Use the Export feature inside BizBoard Pro at any time.
Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for bizboardpro.com

Our lawful basis for processing your data is (a) contract performance — to provide the BizBoard Pro service you signed up for, and (b) legitimate interests — to improve the product using aggregated analytics. To exercise any GDPR right, email horace@bizboardpro.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

BizBoard Pro uses two categories of cookies:

Strictly necessary cookies — session cookies required for authentication. These are always set when you log in and contain only a session ID. No personal data is stored in these cookies. These do not require consent.
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are used to understand how visitors use the app, so we can improve it. These are only loaded after you give explicit consent via the cookie banner when you first visit. If you decline, no analytics scripts run. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site.

We do not use advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking cookies.

7. Children's privacy

BizBoard Pro is not intended for users under 18.

We may update this policy and will notify you of significant changes by email or within the app.
